WW2 MAP - Poperinghe (Wormhout) Massacar
This map which includes the small helmet of Wormhout is synonymous with a now well known German atrocity that happened during the BEF retreat to Dunkirk. On the 28th May 1940 members of the Waffen-SS from the 1st SS Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler carried out the massacre of eighty British & French POW's during the Battle of France.
