WW2 Mobile Voluntary Aid Detachment Badges

Voluntary Aid Detachments (VAD) were made up of British Red Cross & St Johns Ambulance members. They provided trained people to act as reserves to the medical services of the armed forces, both home and abroad. These badges have been removed from their uniforms / armbands.
