WW2 USAF Survival Spit - Boxed

Made by the Aircraft Specialty Products Co, Philadelphia. This formed part of the USAF aircrew’s survival kit. The spit consists of spit tip, spit handle and three extension rods. By using the spit handle and spit point a short weapon is easily constructed. The ends are all threaded so they can be screwed together to form a longer handle or spear measuring 68cm in length. The tin contains hooks and fish spear assembly along with original instruction sheet, a few pieces missing.
