WW2 South African Helmet with Cover
An unmolested South African helmet complete with Jager Rand liner size 7 1/4. The shell is painted with a typical Mediterranean textured sand colour. There are some dents to the top as well as black circles from storage. The liner has some damage on one of the compressed fibre cross straps (obscuring the date) The interesting part is the field improvised painted camouflage canvass cover which I did not want to seperate. The latter having a red & black triangle emblem on one side (worthy of further research). A really great well used battle hardened helmet which is ideal for display.
