WW2 Early 1938 Helmet with Hessian Cover 1936
An early British MkII Helmet complete with field made hessian cover made from a French sack stamped SAINT FRIERS 1936. The helmet is in great condition retaining all its factory paint internally. The lugs are stamped 1938 whilst the Mk1 liner is stamped VERO 7 1938. I acquired this helmet whilst in France and can only 'assume' it would have belonged to a member of the BEF.
