WW2 MkIII Turtle Helmet with Scrim

Great example of a British MkIII Helmet complete with its original scrim. The helmet is painted in a rough textured brownt. MkIII chinstrap fitted to 'high riveted' lugs. The cradle is large - stamped 7 1/2 1944. The helmet is covered with a hessian sacking material and covered in rough cut olive and beige strips of material that have been attached to green string netting, typical used to camouflage vehicles.The MKIII was first worn in combat by Canadian and British troops on D-Day and were used alongside the MKII for the remainder of WW2.
