British MK.III 'Turtle Helmet & Liner - Matching Dates 1944

Iconic helmet as seen and first issued to troops prior to the D-Day landings. This a great example of the MkIII 'Turtle' helmet with rare 1944 double date markings to both shell and liner. The distinctive high riveted helmet retains most of its original factory green paint and is stamped ' BMB 11 1944 ' (Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd) to the rear of the shell. The liner is stamped CCL II 1944 (Charles Collett Ltd). Comes complete with correct chinstrap and green netting.
