WW2 German SS Flag - Field Headquarters

A large black cotton flag with printed scull & crossbones (Totenkopf) and double runes. There are three feint stamps, 60x90 (Size) Leh (short for Lehrer) and M/9 26 (Makers code) for manufacturer Hessische Fahnenfabrik Georg Schubkegel, Darmstadt. I am informed that this type of flag was typically used at Waffen SS Field Head Quarters,

All cotton tests negative under UV light and the cotton passes the burn test. Although the flag states 60x90 it actually measures around 59x86 however this is probably due to shrinkage due to weather. The white sections of flag are grubby and have some staining.

Code: 51959
