French Resistance Armband. Home or field manufactured the armband is constructed from a white canvas material with a silk tricolour patch stitched to the front and stamped with the Cross of Lorraine (Similar construction to item 51789). There are round stamps to the front and rear and the number 135. Although very grubby & stained overall the armband is in great original condition.

Two identity cards belonging an Oscar Leplat
1. Nachtausweis (Night permit) dated 1943.
2. Carte D'Idente for Pas-de-Calis dated 1944.
From what I understand his occupation is a Guard of Electrical Cables. It is interesting to note that the night pass was extended to 01 Oct 1944. The Canadians captured the Pas de Calais the day before! So it did not need renewing further ;-) read more
WW2 French Resistance - Warning Coffin
I have come across one of these before but it was really a solid block of wood in the shape of a coffin with the Cross of Lorraine carved on the top. WW2 Ladies Silver Mourning Poison Ring & Effects
This ring was displayed with other items associated with the French resistance. The ring is constructed of silver with an oval black onyx stone (mourning ring). The ring contains a hidden cavity that would typically be used to conceal some form of poison to be taken to avoid being captured alive. WW2 Cheroot Disguised Blow Pipe & Darts
On the surface an innocent looking bakelite cheroot and book of matches, however the cheroot has been fitted with a small bore brass pipe. Hidden carefully inside the book of matches are 4 small darts housed within a cotton quiver. I am not exactly sure how this would be used and to what extent such small darts would be effective.
