WW2 Polish Pennant - Kotwica Stamp
A Polish 'swallow tail' red and white thin cotton pennant measuring approx 90 x 38 cm. This is a two part construction with two have two crude cotton loops, presumably to secure to a pole of sorts. The pennant is stamped with the Polish anchor emblem (Kotwica) which was originaly associated with the Polish Underground or Home Army. read more

In the early period of the war training of Polish soldiers was carried out by PTS No.1 at Ringway with the intention of parachuting them into occupied Poland. At that time there was no official graduation badge and therefore the Irvin Parachute Seal was adopted.
