This is appears to be an improvised incendiary device or booby trap disguised as a box of matches. Either designed to start a fire or possibly filled with a small amount of explosives to maim an unsuspecting victim. Ironically this is an identity card issued to German civilians after the French occupation of German land post WW1. Carete d'identity, Personal Ausweis. This particular card is issued to Berta Hahr - DOB 2.7.04. Contains official German and French stamps.
