A nice example of a Luftwaffe Pilot Observers award by maker Gebruder Wegerhoff of Ludensheid. This highly detailed badge consists of a gold washed laurel and oak leaf wreath with a silver coloured eagled swooping eagle attached by two rivets. The reverse of the eagle is stamped GWL. WW2 Special Air Service Padded Jump Wings.

A great example of a used Special Air Service jump wing badge. This is a thick padded patch constructed from different coloured woven thread. The embroidery work is of an open parachute. There are obvious signs of wear and removal from its original uniform. Some of. the thread on the outer extremities shows signs of rubbing/wear.
